General Provisions of the Bylaws
Article 1 The name of the association shall be the "Republic of China (Taiwan) Computer-Assisted Language Learning" (hereinafter referred to as the Association).
Article 2 The Association is an academic organization established in accordance with the law and is non-profit in nature. Its purpose is to advance the use of technology in language teaching, learning, and research by fostering both theoretical and practical developments. The Association also aims to facilitate the exchange of experiences and cooperation among global scholars in Technology Enhanced Language Learning (TELL) and Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL), thereby contributing to the advancement of global academic research.
Article 3 The tasks of the Association are as follows:
1. Recruiting Members: The Association will recruit TELL/CALL research partners through various channels such as social media platforms and academic conferences to join the Association and work together towards its goals.
2. Organizing Workshops: The Association will regularly organize workshops focused on professional development and sharing, providing a platform for members to enhance their professional growth.
3. Holding International Conferences: The Association will regularly hold international conferences and will collaborate with internationally renowned TELL/CALL organizations to co-organize seminars related to the second article, providing a platform for global scholars in TELL/CALL research to exchange ideas.
4. Publishing Academic Journals: The Association will plan to publish an international academic journal to provide a platform for TELL/CALL researchers to present their findings and to enhance the influence of global TELL/CALL research.
Article 4 The competent authority for the Association is the Ministry of the Interior, and the objectives and activities of the Association shall be guided and supervised by the respective competent authorities.
Article 5 The organizational region of the Association shall be the administrative areas of the country.
Article 6 The Association's office is located in the area where the competent authority is situated, and it may establish branch offices upon approval by the competent authority. The organizational guidelines for such branch offices shall be drafted by the Board of Directors and submitted to the competent authority for approval before implementation. Any changes to the office address or the addresses of branch offices shall be reported to the competent authority for record-keeping when established or altered.
